government denies knowledge
Being constantly bogged down with classes, projects, etc. it’s way too easy to forget to just have fun and draw for the sake of it. So I started my own doodle a day tumblr. It didn’t really occur to me until after I’d made it that there’s no reason I need to have two tumblr accounts. But hey, go anyway.

Here’s the thing- if Brian Buirge can’t get a job after graduation, what chance do the rest of us have? I’ll send my resume to as many people as I have stamps, but when it comes down to it I’m not looking for a new car or a house of my own or a family. All I want after graduation is hourly pay that can cover rent and bills and leave me with the free time to watch old...

In my brain, 60 degrees = spring = end of the semester = get everything done NOW (luckily, I’m good at ignoring my brain). The cats sure seem to like all these open windows, but I’d rather still be walking to class through snow than mud.
Either way, I’m showing my portfolio to the faculty this Friday so I’ve been looking through it all and scanning things as I go. I...

Working in retail (especially a job that in any way involves technology) has done nothing but clue me in to the learned helplessness of the masses. I can’t decide if it’s laziness, genuine stupidity, or just our ceaseless diet of fear, but everyone wants their hand to be held. Whatever happened to the cavalier attitude of the stereotypical American? Aren’t we supposed to be the...

I’m wearing the same outfit I did yesterday and uploading projects from three semesters ago. You could call it laziness, but I call it summer.
Yesterday I got out all the materials I need to start redoing projects I’m not happy with. C+ illustration, you’re getting soaked and re-stretched first. I want to scan in the things I am actually happy with as part of the same process,...

Hello, friends. It’s been a while since I’ve had any website to speak of, and Tumblr’s pretty low-maintenance. So you can check back here occasionally to see weird sketches and projects I’m working on. Right now, in addition to my normal workload of two illustrations and an experimental type project, I’m about to start working on one poster in a series for the RTA....
