Working in retail (especially a job that in any way involves technology) has done nothing but clue me in to the learned helplessness of the masses. I can’t decide if it’s laziness, genuine stupidity, or just our ceaseless diet of fear, but everyone wants their hand to be held. Whatever happened to the cavalier attitude of the stereotypical American? Aren’t we supposed to be the cowboys of the free world?
